Women's Competitive League - Monday 7 & 9 pm

Description:

Women′s Competitive

Mondays 7:00pm and 9:00pm

Welcome to Monday Night Ladies Competitive Curling: a time for women at all curling levels to gather together for an evening of socializing and healthy, competitive fun. This is a team entry league but as curling is becoming a more popular sport, we will make every effort to place new single players looking to join or others who are looking to return to the sport, on a team.

Our draws are held at either 7:00 or 9:00 and we also hold a Ladies Skins format Bonspiel in February.

Women's Afternoon - Tuesday 1 pm

Description:

Tuesday Afternoon Ladies

Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (including coffee)

Are you free on Tuesday afternoons?

Whether you are brand new to curling, just getting back into it, or an experienced curler, Tuesday afternoon curling is right for you. Tuesday curling is a fun, social, non-competitive league. Although we'd like you to come out on a regular basis, the teams are made up each Tuesday just before we go on the ice. This allows you the flexibility to miss a week if you need to. We curl 6 ends between 1 and 3 pm, then gather for some social time, coffee, tea and snacks.

Come out and join us for some exercise, laughter and fun!

Wednesday Night Co-Ed

Description:

New:  Wednesday Night Co-Ed (Mixed) League

Learn-Play-Socialize

This league is designed as a place for anyone wanting to learn   the sport of curling.  Individuals and couples are welcome to come out and play a 6 end game, once a week.  The program has been designed with a coaching portion from 7:00pm-7:30pm, early in the season more time may be spent on skills, but the objective is to play a six end game, and of course enjoy, the famous curling custom of sitting down to a beverage, in the lounge after the game.   (winners buy drink for losers, losers offer to return the favour after the match is complete)

Each week players will be placed on a different team.  At the end of the first session, players can continue to come out on Wednesday nights to play, in this ongoing league, or join the Sunday Mixed league or do both!

Mixed Rated - Sunday - 4 & 6 pm

Description:

Sunday Mixed Rated

Sundays 4:00pm & 6:00pm

The Sunday Mixed Rated Curling League offers the ideal blend of experienced and novice curlers. This is an adult league. The two main goals of this league are to curl and to have fun. The two draws (or rounds) during the season contribute to the curling goal, by emphasizing the competitive curling of team vs. team. The second goal of having fun is met by changing the team members for the second draw. This league is particularly suited to new curlers or those who are interested in learning a new position for competitive league play. We rate you based upon your experience. All teams are made up by the president or drawmaster. In doing this, we try to put novice with seasoned curlers so the learning experience is enjoyable.

This is not a team entry league.

In late January we hold the club's most popular bonspiel called the Robbie Burns Fun-spiel.
